Conceptual Approach of EFForTS BEE
The EFForTS BEE concept consists of different components / approaches:
1. Biodiversity & ecosystem functioning research (BEF) focusing on the relationship of biodiversity and ecosystem functioning – not exclusively on biodiversity[3].
2. Ecological and ecosystem restoration in human-dominated landscapes to enhance higher multidiversity and multifunctionality while maintaining high yields (economic value).
3. Island biogeography: tree islands in agricultural land use[5].
