Collaborative Design of research-based Oil Palm Agroforestry Concept – Group Activity
Tree species selection
With respect to the species selection, there are many aspects to consider. Be prepared to explain what the reasons for your tree species selection are. Also, consider what you have learned so far in this unit (e.g., regarding ecosystem functions below). Furthermore, relate what you have learned to science-based knowlege and look for more information on specific tree species – if needed. On the following pages, you will find examples for potential tree species, but you can also look for information on other species, which could fit best into your concept.
