Experimental Design of OPMX

Now, you will learn about the experimental design and treatment combinations of the Oil Palm Management Experiment (OPMX). From Task 1, you know that EFForTS OPMX focuses on the independent variables, or - so called - factors (here: fertilizing and weeding strategies). When experimenting in complex systems (e.g., in field research), it is crucial to have a clear experimental design. Such a design is the 2x2 Cross Factorial Design.

Task 2b: Now, design a 2x2 grid for the OPMX cross factorial design. Label and visualize the treatment combinations with icons in the table below.
